Basic Skill Requirements to Join CCSC Competitive Team.
These will serve as the basic required guidelines for the CCSC Novice Program participants and new swimmers who are interested in joining the Competitive branch of CCSC:
Must become a USA Swimming Member.
Must show proficiency with all 4 strokes.
Must be able to swim 300 yards freestyle without stopping.
Must be able to swim a 100 IM with proper technique.
Must be able to do a flip turn and be able to push off the wall in streamline.
Must be comfortable with diving.
Must be able to understand sets by yardage amount given, not laps.
Must have a general understanding of reading the LED clock.
Must have good attendance with the novice program. The more sessions attended per week, the better!
Must have a good work ethic, and good behavior. Novice program instructors will give Head Coach recommendations, based on work ethic and behavior.
Committed swimmers should attend practice at least 4 times a week, including dryland. We understand everyone has their own schedule, but come as often as you can. The fewer practices that are attended, the further the swimmer falls behind.
Once the swimmer in question is comfortable with competitive practices, it is recommended that the swimmer competes in meets at least once a month, or when meets are available at the given time.
Ignite Culver Dryland Strength And Conditioning Program

Dryland will start with very basic exercises at the younger ages and build to more advanced exercises for older ages
